Jade Dragon School of Kung Fu and Qigong

Sifu Paul Chapman started studying the Chinese martial and healing arts for nearly 25 years ago and has studied continuously under the same system. Becase the Jade Dragon system is so comprehensive he has never felt the urge to try out other martial arts.

'Many people these days' he says 'are unable to find what they are looking for in one martial art and so go from teacher to teacher learning a little of this and a little of that but without really gaining any deeper knowledge. It is preferable to dig one deep hole to find good water rather than many shallow ones where you may just find a lot of mud'.

'The trick is to find a master who can inspire you and will continuously help you expand your own boundaries and release your potential over a long period of time. It is a shame that there are so many teachers with limited knowledge who take advantage of the lack of regulations in the teaching of Chinese martial arts to set up their own classes sometimes after only weeks of training themselves! These kung fu cowboys do so much damage to the reputation of kung fu training and and often teach very poor technique in a way that can be seriously dangerous to the student.'

He has had an interesting career which has included lecturing in Sports Science at Reading College and running a fitness centre in Watford. He is currently running stress management courses for CMB Training

Paul has several senior students who are training to become teachers. They are distinguishable by the wearing of a 'Jade Dragon' tshirt which only the teachers and senior students wear. The seniors are on hand to help you with all aspects of your training and should be able to answer most questions you have.
